Recently, the 2024 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition and the National Liquor Sommelier Vocational Skills Competition with the theme of "Craftsmanship builds foundations and skills open up new situations" were successfully held in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. More than 210 contestants from all over the country competed on the same stage and showed their talents. The competition was approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and co-organized by the China Food Industry Association and the China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center. The competition is divided into two parts: theoretical competition and tasting and evaluation ability competition. The theoretical questions comprehensively cover the key links and technical points of the entire industrial chain of liquor production and brewing; the tasting and evaluation ability competition sets four core competitions with high standards and strict requirements, totaling 11 rounds, including aroma and taste identification, liquor quality grade identification, reproducibility and reproducibility identification, and international distilled liquor quality grade identification, etc., which comprehensively test the professional skills and adaptability of the contestants. After fierce competition, the competition finally selected 8 first prizes, 18 second prizes, and 24 third prizes.
