A bright red silk banner reflects Xijiu's sincere "loving" heart of helping the poor and the needy

"As the elderly age, the love and kindness of Xijiu enables them to feel warm, as it, too, relates with the disabled and the weak and offers assistance to the older generation." This was recently said by Zhu Zipeng, vice chairman and secretary general of the provincial association for the Henan province, and Chang Zheng, research fourth level of Xingyang Disabled Persons' Federation as they presented a bright red silk banner to Xijiu Group on behalf of the disabled elderly of Xingyang City expressing their thanks to Xijiu Group for being concerned about the disabled elderly. In the same vein, Wang Diqiang, secretary of the Party Committee, chairman and general manager of Xijiu Group was also able to accept the silk banner for Xijiu Group.

A gentleman shows compassion and sustains the weak and the needy. In April this year, the Xijiu·Wu Lao Ankang Fu charity fund came to Henan to give 2 million Chinese Yuan as charity funds in order to provide high quality hearing aids, nursing beds, multi-functional wheelchairs and other health and rehabilitation devices to 550 physically handicapped elderly in the handicapped elderly care this centers, elder nursing homes and some families in Henan China. I hope such provision will help the beneficiaries recover and fully attain their potential in life. Since the provision of these items, the Henan Provincial Self Help Association for the Disabled and the Impoverished has been very active, assuming the role of a link and a bridge for their targets and working within the boundaries of legislation to ensure that every elderly physically challenged person who benefited from this provision was made aware of the caring initiative facilitated by the Xijiu·Wu Lao Ankang Fu Charity Fund. In a glimpse, the Xijiu·Wu Lao Ankang Fu charity fund has made some loud noise in Henan province and received some round of applause and commendation.

It is known that the charity fund “Xijiu·Wu Lao Ankang” was a joint initiative started by the national distributors of Xijiu and Xijiu Group along with the Guizhou Provincial Charity Federation, and was established back in November 2022. The Fund aims at resolving issues related to the elderly including settling issues with elderly care, housing needs, mental health, as well as providing the necessary medical services. It’s vision is that all elderly should “be able to afford housing, have family-like bonds, experience joy, and during their twilight years be peaceful” So far, this “Xijiu·Wu Lao Ankang” charity fund has reportedly raised funds of Yuan 32 million and more. Their focus is on the rural forest rangers, disabled and retired veterans who carry out charity work. Furthermore, the Fund also aims at improving the development of services for the elderly and establishment of moral codes in society.

"Respect the elders, and respect the elders of others as well." As noted before, charity is integral to the ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics and represents a considerable advancement in the moral status of society. Being one of the State Owned Enterprises in China controlled by the Party, Xijiu Group is determined to take up social responsibilities, to practice Junpin culture, and in cooperation with welfare workers from all sections of the society to strive hard to elevate the “Xijiu•Respect the Elderly and Keep the Elderly Healthy” charity project to a greater height, thereby adding a new touch to the landscape of charity in China.
