Peng Kaiping, a famous psychology professor at Tsinghua University, gave a lecture and visited Xijiu factory - a journey of wisdom about spiritual exploration and cultural heritage

On December 6, during the snowy season, when Xijiu's "Gentleman Character Building Year" was about to end, Xijiu Group invited Peng Kaiping, Dean of Tsinghua University Global Industry Research Institute and Professor of Psychology and Cognitive Science at Tsinghua University, to Xijiu to give a positive psychology lecture, bringing warmth to Xijiu employees in the cold winter. Wang Diqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman and General Manager of Xijiu Group, hosted the lecture.

Peng Kaiping's lecture

With the theme of "Live a Happy Life: Enlightenment from Positive Psychology", Peng Kaiping focused on why to advocate a positive attitude and how to shape a positive attitude. From the professional perspective of positive psychology, he used famous psychological experiments and ancient Chinese poems as examples to explain in a simple and easy-to-understand way the psychological theory, the significance of advocating positive psychology, the connotation of a good life, new ideas for coping with psychological crises, and the physiological basis for generating positive experiences. He focused on sharing the eight correct methods of emotion regulation and the "five methods" of triggering happy experiences. He also gave an in-depth interpretation of "the cultivation of the mind of a gentleman", namely the gentleman's calmness of "not deceiving oneself internally and not deceiving others externally", the gentleman's cautiousness of "those who indulge in emotions are in danger and those who restrain desires are safe", and the gentleman's broad-mindedness of "anger is not to take, joy is not to give", bringing a feast of knowledge to Xijiu cadres and employees, allowing everyone to wander in the ocean of positive psychology and feel the great significance that positive psychology brings to life.

Peng Kaiping said that a gentleman must integrate knowledge and action and reach conscience, so that his heart can be bright, and what else can be said. Xijiu's Junpin culture is connected with Tsinghua University's Junzi culture. The two sides have established a good cooperative relationship and are committed to studying the contemporary practice and social value of the Junzi spirit, inheriting and promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture. Positive psychology is in the same vein as the Junzi spirit and is the contemporary Yangming School of Mind. I hope that Xijiu people will deeply practice positive psychology and regard winemaking as a support for life, value creation and social responsibility. Wang Diqiang hosted the lecture

Wang Diqiang pointed out that this lecture, citing classics, combined with examples and theories from ancient and modern times, China and abroad, explained the origins of "positive psychology" in a simple and easy-to-understand way, so that we can understand that positive psychology is not only a practical science, but also has a rich scientific and theoretical foundation, and has a deep cultural origin. Xijiu cadres and employees should apply what they have learned, do a good job in "people" with a positive mentality, feel "progress", "development" and "hope" in their work, so as to improve organizational effectiveness, enable high-quality development of enterprises, and achieve a win-win situation between personal value and enterprise development; do a good job in "innovation" with a positive mentality, enhance psychological flexibility through positive emotions, and open up their minds to accept new possibilities; do a good job in "culture" with a positive mentality, constantly refine and enrich Junpin culture, enrich and expand the ways and methods of cultural communication, deeply explore Xijiu stories, jointly promote cultural recognition of Xijiu by partners and consumers, and face a positive, happy and fulfilling future with a positive attitude.

After the lecture, Peng Kaiping, accompanied by Wang Diqiang, went deep into Xijiu Brewing Workshop, Xijiu Cultural City and other places to visit Xijiu winemaking process on the spot and learn more about Xijiu development history, social welfare, corporate culture and other situations.
